School
There are 2 State Primary Schools within the Boulia State Shire, the Boulia State School and the Urandangi State School. Both of these teach children from prep years to grade 7.
The Boulia State School is a two-teacher school . The classes are split into 2 groups, prep – grade 3, and grades 4-7.
The Urandangi State School consists of one teacher and 29 children.
After grade 7 the majority of children finish their education in Mount Isa, Charters Towers, Townsville or Brisbane. Children who do not live in the townships of either Urandangi or Boulia, complete their schooling by School of the Air or are taught by a Governess. These children also sometimes finish their high school education away from home.
