Pest Management
Dominant pest animals in the Boulia Shire consist of feral pigs and wild dogs/ dingoes. To control the increase of these animals the shire employs an outside body to lay poisonous baits on surrounding properties at the property owner’s discretion. Baits are never put down within 10km of the Boulia Township to avoid unintentional poisoning of domestic animals.
