Rubbish is collected from residential premises in town on Mondays of every week. Should a collection day fall on a public holiday then your waste will be collected the next working day. Residents are asked to place bins out for collection by latest 6.30 am on collection days. If your bin is damaged, or you require a replacement bin, please contact Council's Administration Office on (07) 4746 3188.

The refuse tip, open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, is located on the Bedourie Road and is accessible by all persons. The facility is unmanned however is under 24 hour video surveillance. There is no charge to dump general waste at this tip. Council has developed specific areas within the facility to accommodate tyres, white goods etc. Please look for signs as you enter.

Please note this facility is not authorised to accept asbestos and fines for illegal dumping of this material will apply. The refuse tip is designed to cater for domestic waste, should you need to dispose of building material etc please contact the Council Administration Office on (07) 4746 3188.
