PUBLIC NOTICE

Wednesday 2nd July 2025 – Wednesday 23rd July

We are currently experiencing a larger than usual population of Corella’s and due the excessive damage to the environment and infrastructure in and around the township of Boulia, we shall commence as of Wednesday 2nd July evening, have our RLPO officer driving our streets firing (bird scaring shot) to force these Corella’s to out of town bush areas.

Update as at 4th July 2025: We have started the process in trying to relocate the Corella’s from our township, however, have noticed that the time frame in which is currently being utilised to move these birds is not long enough and they are coming back in just on dark. Therefore, our RLPO officer will now be operating between the hours of 4pm – 8pm. We have also extended this timeframe by an extra week.

Please be aware during these periods your pets might be a little scared or shocked by the sound.

We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

Chief Executive Officer
