Council advises all residents and visitors in Boulia to boil tap water used for drinking following a recent communications network outage that affected technical operations within our water treatment plant.The boil water alert is precautionary and will stay in effect until council is satisfied that levels are within the required range with consistent testing. The Remote Area Planning and Development Board (RAPAD) is a collusion of seven Councils - Barcoo, Blackall-Tambo, Boulia, Diamantina, Longreach, Winton and Barcaldine, who work together to achieve economies of scale for roads, water, sewerage, pest and weeds works. This credible and highly proactive team, help facilitate the growth and development of the Central West and wider Outback region, enhancing the quality of life for all residents.
