Completed Projects

'Melrose Place' refurbishments

The 2021- 24 Works for Queensland (W4Q) grant program (funded by the Department of State Development,Pituri Street renovation photo 3 Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning) was a welcome injection of just over $1.02 million into the Council’s minor infrastructure projects budget.

Staff Housing - new duplex units

Like most other regional and remote Councils, the Boulia Shire is facing a shortage of housing.

Improved frontage works to Min Min Encounter

December 2024 saw works completed to improve the frontage of the Min Min Encounter.

Planting of semi mature shade trees

Thanks to funding under the LG Sun Safety Grant, Council has been able to plant a number of semi mature shade trees in two public areas.

Wills Street Crossing

A new culvert crossing was installed on Wills Street. This project was funded by Local Recovery and Resilience Grant (QRA).
