Council is pleased to be able to advise that the Boulia Shire Council Disaster Dashboard website is now live.  The website can be accessed directly via https://dashboard.boulia.qld.gov.au/ or by clicking on the Disaster Dashboard wording on the home page of the Council website (https://www.boulia.qld.gov.au/)

The website, powered by QIT Plus, will offer the community a reliable source of truth to refer to during major weather events, presenting real time information access to a range of areas such as weather warnings, fire bans and radars.

A popular feature that has been enabled on the Disaster Dashboard website is the ability for the community to view Council’s Flood Cameras within the Maps area. By ticking the ‘Flood Camera’ box, green cameras will appear on the map, allowing site visitors to click on a camera of interest and see an image of the flood prone crossing in question. It is to be noted that Flood Camera imaging is NOT to be used as a reference point for a road being open or closed – road closure information issued on Boulia Shire Council road reports is final, not the images presented on the camera. Council does not accept any responsibility or liability for any loss or damage incurred as a result of flood camera imaging being used as a reference point for road closure information.

The project has been able to be carried out with thanks to funding from the QRA’s Flood Risk Management Program Package 3.
