Road improvements near Waverly Creek

New overtaking opportunity on the Diamantina Development Road near Waverley Creek - Road Works Teams are working towards fully completing a new overtaking opportunity on the Diamantina Development Road near Waverley Creek. Unfortunately, the project experienced some setbacks due to the recent flooding event meaning final sealing works had to be scheduled in for May 2025. This project is able to be completed thanks to funds from Transport and Main Roads under a partnership with the Federal Government. 

Waverley Creek Bridge Safety Improvement Project - The Waverley Creek Bridge Approaches works were also affected by the recent flooding event and it is now expected to have this project completed by May 2025. Funding for this project is thanks to the TIDS funding arrangement.
